Another Christmas Card

I really should make some other types of cards, but I need to build up the stash for Christmas. Here's another one I did this last week. I'm trying to use of some of my scraps, and I found these Snowflakes that I had in a secret drawer of my Creative Memories cutter. I don't think it is suppose to be a secret, but I always forget about it and find all sorts of goodies in there. Anyways, the snowflakes are from Spellbinders. The circle sentiment is from Denami Designs as well as the ear muffs. The earmuffs come in a set of four and I thought they would go perfect in the centre of the sentiment.

A Winter Song

Winter Song is the name of this stamp from Elzybells Art Stamps. I love colouring her because all you have to do is colour her to match the paper and she looks good everytime. I wasn't sure about the ribbon, but I think it works.

Star Light

Here's one of my new Elzybells Art Stamps inked up. I have this Memory Box dp that looked like a nights sky and thought it would go well with this stamp. I think this one would make an easy one to reproduce for Christmas. The bottom is cuttlebugged with the Snowflake embossing folder.

Winter Log Cabin

I started this card today before I went to the soccer fields at 9:00 a.m. and finished it four hours later. I saw on the Spellbinders blog where they had covered the Impressabilities with VersaMark and embossed the finished product with embossing power. I ran it through the Cuttlebug on Kraft Cardstock. I then embossed it with Winter Wonderland embossing powder. I then die cut it with the SU Top Note. I love how it turned out.

I finally had some time today to put finishing touches on cards and upload them. I've been getting hasseled by some people(you know who you are) to update this blog.

I follow the PaperFections blog and there was a tutorial on colouring red fruit with copics. It was pretty easy once I got going.

Air Brush System - Look what we found

My friend Katrina & I went to Princess Auto in Langley and found this air compressor for $68.00. I was a little leary about buying this compressor, well because it wasn't $275.00 like the ones that copic recommends. But we thought what the heck, we could always take it back.

I brought it home with hesitation, because my husband would be dissapointed that I didn't spend $800.00 so we could share. I didn't say I would share. But anyway he thought it was a great deal for what it could do. I think he was a little proud of me entering into an auto store and buying something. Well the joy didn't last that long because I didn't have the proper fittings to fit it to the Copic Air Adaptor, but Terry, my husband said "no problem". We went to our local auto store and my brother who works there set me up. Terry also said that I should get this regulator which would keep constant pressure at 50 psi. So for another $25.00 I was good to go. It's sort of loud but once it builds up the pressure to 50 psi, it stops running and you would never know it's on. Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

Another Christmas Card

I've been trying to get on the computer all night. I don't know who said that my husband could come out of his man cave in the basement and work on my computer. He has his own computer in the man cave. I know that mine is better, but really.. what he can do on this one, he can do on his own... I started this card this morning before work, but I couldn't start up the air compressor at 5:45 a.m. I live in a townhouse and I'm not sure my neighbours would appreciate my artistic endeavor. So, here it is at 10:49 at night and I'm now getting to uploading.

I used the copic ABS and E31 to airbrush the background behind the tree. I also wanted to warm up the SU dp so I airbrushed that as well. Can I just tell you how much I love my new compressor. I bought it at Princess Auto in Langley for $68.00 and also purchased a regulator and a piece to make the ends of the regulator can and the hose to match. Simple as pie.

Happy Monday everyone. (to my whole two blog readers lol) I had a busy day at work today which was a typical Monday for me. I swear the computer gremlins come in on the weekend just to give me a challenge on Monday.

Whipper Snapper Snow is Overrated

Wow, what a great weekend. My friend Katrina & I went to the copic certification yesterday in Langley, BC at Clipper Street. We went down Friday afternoon to get in some craft shopping at our favourite hangouts Clipper Street & Precious Memories. Had an awesome dinner at Montanas and then went and hung out at the hotel and coloured with the copics. The day was filled with information and my head was full when we left. But not too full as we stopped in at a store that I have never had the pleasure to go into. Wow, my head was spinning with the variety of stamps and supplies. The name of the store is Country Lane. Their website is http://www.countrylanebc.com/. I only had 20 minutes thank god, otherwise I would have spent more money. Here's a card that I made today with one of my new goodies. This stamp is from Whipper Snapper called Snow is Overrated. Just too darn cute.

Christmas Cards

I've been working hard trying to get my Christmas cards done. I just love this image from Whipper Snapper Designs. I coloured the image with my Copics and glittered it up with Dazzling Diamond glitter. The snowflakes are from last year's Stampin Up Holiday Mini (I think)which are now retired. The sentiment is from Make an Impression.
